Education and Religious Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Education and Religious Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Religious Studies, and


  • three (3) other Arts subjects.



Religious Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Religious Studies department.


  • English Language,


  • Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies and


  • any other three (3) relevant subjects



Theatre Arts


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Theatre Arts department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language, and


  • any other four (4) relevant subjects.



Library and Information Science (LIS)


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Library and Information Science (LIS) department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics and


  • two (2) other Science subjects.



Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language and


  • Fine Arts.


  • For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be


  • Machine Printing and Finishing, General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Printing and Ceramics;


  • General Wood work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Printing Origination.
