Building

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Building department.

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry,

  • and any one of

  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.

  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be;
    Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Mathematics and Statistics

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Mathematics and Statistics department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics and

  • at least three(3) of

  • Physics, Chemistry,

  • Biology and Additional / Further Mathematics.

Chemical Engineering

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Chemical Engineering department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

Quantity Surveying (QS)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Quantity Surveying (QS) department.

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics,

  • Chemistry and

  • any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics, Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying / Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.

Education / Mechanical Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Education / Mechanical Technology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics

  • and one (1) of Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, or Chemistry,

  • and two (2) from

  • General Science / Integrated Science, Technical Drawing / Fine Art, Geography, Building,

  • Health Science Food and Nutrition, Physical and Health Education, Auto Technical, Electrical Electronic, Metal Work and Wood Work.

Applied Microbiology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Applied Microbiology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
