O’Level Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Home Science department under Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Biology / Agricultural Science,

  • Chemistry, Mathematics and

  • at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language and Physics.

  • Any one (1) of

  • General Metal Work, General Wood Work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Furniture Design and Construction, Upholstery Design and Construction,

  • Spray Painting and Period Furniture, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing and Basic Electricity.

JAMB Subject Combination

  • Use of English,

  • Chemistry,

  • Biology / Agriculture and

  • Mathematics or Physics.

ESUT Cut-Off Mark for Home Science

The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Home Science cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from ESUT Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:

  • any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics, Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying / Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.

Metallurgical and Material Engineering

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Metallurgical and Material Engineering department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Physics,

  • Chemistry and

  • one other Science subject.

Geology and Mining

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Computer Engineering department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • Further Mathematics,

  • Chemistry, and

  • Physics.

Pharmacy

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Pharmacy department.

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics,

  • Chemistry and

  • Biology.

Education and Physics

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Education and Physics department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • two (2) other Science subjects or NTC / NBC.
