Leisure and Tourism Management


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Leisure and Tourism Management department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Geography,


  • one Basic Science subject and


  • two other subjects from:


  • Economics/Commerce, History, Book Keeping Principles of Accounting, Mathematics, Fine Arts, French Language, Government, Food and Nutrition, Nigerian Language, Home Economics


  • A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.



Library and Information Science (LIS)


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Library and Information Science (LIS) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

Mass Communication (MC)

Art and Design


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Art and Design department.

  • Any two (2) subjects from: History / Government, Chemistry / Physical Science, Biology / Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge, Economics / Commerce, Geography, and Home Economics



Local Government Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Local Government Studies department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language (not Literature in English)


  • Mathematics


  • Any three subjects from the following: Economics / Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government, Biology / Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History / Government, Typewriting, and Shorthand
