Fisheries Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Fisheries Technology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Agricultural Technology department.

  • English Language,

  • Biology / Agricultural Science,

  • Mathematics, Chemistry and

  • any one (1) from

  • Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics,

  • Technical Drawing, Physics, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.

Chemical Engineering Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Chemical Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any other subject from:

  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, Geography and Economics / Commerce.

  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

Agricultural Engineering / Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Agricultural Engineering / Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics and

  • any three of the following:

  • Biology / Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics / Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Further Mathematics, Food and Nutrition and Geography.

  • At least passes in Chemistry, Biology / Agricultural Science / Food and Nutrition.

Building Technology (BT)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Building Technology (BT) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any one of

  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.

  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.
