O’Level Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Technology Education department under Faculty of Education, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Physics or Mathematics,

  • English Language and

  • any other three (3) relevant subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination

  • English language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics and

  • one (1) other Science subject.

LASUSTECH Cut-Off Mark for Technology Education

The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Technology Education cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Computer Engineering department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language.

  • Mathematics,

  • Further Mathematics,

  • Chemistry, and

  • Physics.

Building Technology (BT)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Building Technology (BT) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any one of

  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.

  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Food Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Food Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Biology / Agricultural Science,

  • Mathematics and

  • any two of the following:

  • Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.

  • At least a pass in Chemistry is required.

Mechatronics Engineering Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Mechatronics Engineering Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics, Chemistry

  • and any one other subject from:

  • Biology / Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work,

  • Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics / Commerce.

Chemical Engineering Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Chemical Engineering Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any other subject from:

  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, Geography and Economics / Commerce.

  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

Urban and Regional Planning (URP)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Geography,

  • and any two (2) of

  • Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Government, Biology, Art, History, IRK/CRK, Social Studies and Tech Drawing.

Quantity Surveying (QS)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Quantity Surveying (QS) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics,

  • Chemistry and

  • any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics, Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying / Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.
