Building Technology (BT)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Building Technology (BT) department.

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any one of

  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.

  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Mechanical Engineering Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Mechanical Engineering Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics,

  • Physics, Chemistry and

  • any one subject from:

  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce

  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

Estate Management and Valuation

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Estate Management and Valuation department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Mathematics and

  • any two of this subject:

  • Economics, Arts, Physics,

  • Technical Drawing, Chemistry and Biology

Computer Science (CS)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Computer Science (CS) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • Mathematics, and

  • any two (2) other Science subjects.

Computer Engineering

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Computer Engineering department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • Further Mathematics,

  • Chemistry, and

  • Physics.

Food Technology

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Food Technology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • English Language,

  • Biology / Agricultural Science,

  • Mathematics and

  • any two of the following:

  • Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.
