  • Any two (2) subjects from: History / Government, Chemistry / Physical Science, Biology / Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge, Economics / Commerce, Geography, and Home Economics


JAMB Subject Combination


  • Fine Art


  • English language


  • Any two (2) subjects from: History, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and A Nigeria Language (Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, and others)


UAT Cut-Off Mark for Art and Design


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Art and Design cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from UAT Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:


  • Aim for 180+ score.


  • Perform well in Post-UTME screening.

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Mass Communication (MC) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language, and


  • any four (4) other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.



Linguistics and Nigerian Languages


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Linguistics and Nigerian Languages department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language and


  • any other four (4) relevant subjects from Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences.



Theatre Arts

History and International Studies

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into History and International Studies department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • any two (2) other relevant subjects.



Hotel Management and Tourism

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Hotel Management and Tourism department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • any three (3) from Arts or Social Science subjects with O Level pass in Mathematics.
