Mass Communication (MC)

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mass Communication (MC) department.


  • English Language, and


  • any four (4) other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.



Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts department.


  • English Language and


  • Fine Arts.


  • For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be


  • Machine Printing and Finishing, General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Printing and Ceramics;


  • General Wood work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Printing Origination.



Religious Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Religious Studies department.


  • English Language,


  • Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies and


  • any other three (3) relevant subjects



Adult Education / English Literature


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Adult Education / English Literature department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics and


  • any three (3) relevant subjects from:


  • Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies,
