Religious Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Religious Studies department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies and


  • any other three (3) relevant subjects



History


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the History department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language


  • Geography


  • Government or History


  • Any other two (2) relevant Social Sciences or Arts subjects.



Languages and Linguistics


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Languages and Linguistics department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language and


  • any other Arts,


  • Social Sciences and Sciences.



French


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the French department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • French,


  • one other Arts subject, and


  • any other two (2) relevant subjects.



Adult Education / English Literature


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Adult Education / English Literature department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics and


  • any three (3) relevant subjects from:


  • Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies,


  • Islamic Studies, Geography / Physics, Economics and Government or TC II with pass in English Language and four (4) other subjects.



Linguistics / Edo


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Linguistics / Edo department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Literature in English and


  • a Nigerian Language preferably Edo.


  • At least a pass in Mathematics is optional.
