SSCE Requirements

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Building department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry,

  • and any one of

  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.

  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be;
    Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Education and Chemistry

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Education and Chemistry department.

  • Mathematics,

  • Chemistry,

  • English Language, and

  • two (2) of

  • Physics,

  • Biology and Agricultural Science.

Mining Engineering

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Mining Engineering department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • Mathematics,

  • English Language and

  • any other Science subject.

Science Laboratory Technology (SLT)

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) department.

  • English Language

  • Mathematics

  • Any two (2) subjects from: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Agricultural Science / Health Science

  • Any other two (2) relevant subjects (Technical Drawing, Metal / Wood Work, Basic Electricity, Geography, Further Mathematics, and Fine Art)

Crop Production

SSCE Requirements

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Crop Production department.

  • Biology / Agricultural Science,
