To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Adult and Continuing Education department under Faculty of Education, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Geography / Physics, Economics and Government.


  • For TC II with pass in English Language and


  • four (4) other subjects.

  • Government / History,


  • one (1) Social Science subject and


  • any other subject.

Creative Arts


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Creative Arts department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language and


  • Fine Arts.


  • For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be


  • General Wood work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing,


  • Printing Origination, Machine Printing and Finishing, General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Printing and Ceramics.



Education and English Language

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Education and English Language department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Literature in English, and


  • three (3) other Arts / Social Science subjects.



Religious Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Religious Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies and


  • any other three (3) relevant subjects



Archaeology


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Archaeology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language and


  • any one from the following subjects, Religious Studies, Geography, Economics and History.



Home Economics and Education
