To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Fine and Industrial Arts department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Fine Arts and


  • two (2) other from social science subject.


  • For NTC the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following:


  • Decorative Painting;


  • Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design;


  • Wall Handling, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing;


  • Graphic Painting; Ceramics; Basic Electricity; Building / Engineering / Environmental / Technology Drawing.



English Language


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into English Language department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Literature in English, and


  • any other three (3) Arts/Social Science subjects.



Home Economics and Education

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Home Economics and Education department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • Mathematics,

  • Chemistry.



Pre-Primary and Primary Education

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Pre-Primary and Primary Education department.


  • English Language and


  • any four (4) relevant subjects.



Home Economics


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Home Economics department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Biology/Agricultural Science,


  • Chemistry, Physics,


  • Mathematics, English Language and


  • any one other subject from;


  • Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work,


  • Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.
