AAU Building Admission Requirement
AAU Building Admission Requirement comprises the O'Level, JAMB, Post UTME, and Direct Entry requirement;
O’Level Requirement
According to Our research, tertiary institution aspirants should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in SSCE subjects including;
Mathematics,
English Language,
Physics, Chemistry,
and any one of
Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.
For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be;
Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Post UTME Requirement
Ambrose Alli University (AAU) cut off mark for Building must be obtained. The general UTME cut-off mark is 180 (For Medical Students, 220 and above is recommended), but due to the variation of the departmental cut-off mark, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from AAU Officials.

Building Procedure for Calculating Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
University C.G.P.A. Calculation Steps:
Get the Grade Point (GP) of your of each semester sessions.
Grade Variables and Equivalent Values- A = 4.0
- AB = 3.5
- B = 3.0
- BC = 2.5
- C = 2.0
Course Grade Calculation = Grade Variable Earned (From A - C) x Credit Unit (CU)
Repeat the Course Grade Calculation process for other courses
Semester GP Calculation = Total Course Grade divided by Total Credit Unit (CU) = Semester Grade PointAdd each semester Grade Point (GP) and divide by the total semester. For example;
400 Level First Semester - 3.00
400 Level Second Semester - 3.40
C.G.P.A = 3.00 + 3.40 = 6.40
C.G.P.A = 6.40 / 2 Semesters
C.G.P.A.= 3.2

Things to Know before the Semester Activity Begins
Buy Your Textbooks Early
Purchase your academic textbooks as soon as your school releases the list. While this may mean you buy handouts you will need, for early course acquaintancy.
Take Inventories Such as; Course Handouts, Buy School Supplies or Re-organize the ones you own
Go through your handouts, school supplies and determine what can be reused from last year. Then, acquire new school materials that are essential for learning.
Setup Your Binders and Notebooks
This saves time for your first week of school entry. Label your dividers with your name, print out your class schedule and affix it to the binder. Have your notebooks labels according to your classes. Do whatever you need to do. Having some simple organizational systems in place will make it easy to keep track of things when you are given papers by the handful.
