Admission Requirements for Building When Accredited in Benue State University (BSU)
O’Level Requirements
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Building department under Faculty of Built Environment, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.
For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be;
Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.
BSU Cut-Off Mark for Building
The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Building cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from BSU Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:
Perform well in Post-UTME screening.

1. Education and Biology
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Education and Biology department.
2. Industrial Chemistry
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Industrial Chemistry department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Biology / Agricultural Science.
3. Physics
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Physics department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Chemistry, Mathematics and
any other Science subject from
Biology / Agricultural Science.
4. Physical and Health Education
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Physical and Health Education department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Biology or its equivalent
and any two (2) other relevant subjects.
5. Biological Science
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Biological Science department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Any other relevant Science subject.
6. Plant Science and Biotechnology
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Plant Science and Biotechnology department.
7. Zoology
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Zoology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
