About How to Gain Admission without Writing JAMB

Consequent upon the subject matter above, gaining admission into any Private, State and Federal University of your choice to obtain a degree has been made easy by the introduction of IJMB Programme.


IJMB is an acronym of Interim Joint Matriculation Board which is a programme approved by NUC (Nigeria University Commission) with several coordinating bodies in Nigeria.


The programme is approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a platform for securing admission into 200 Level in any University accepting IJMB Programme. IJMB is beneficial to SSCE, WACE, NECO, GCE and Direct Entry Students.


IJMB Programme registration centres in the following Nigeria State which are: Akwa Ibom State, Delta State, Edo State, Enugu State, FCT Abuja, Imo State, Kwara State, Lagos State, Ogun State, Oyo State and Rivers State.


The programme is done within the duration of 9 months and thereafter you will be privileged to gain admission into any Private, State and Federal University of your choice in Nigeria.

Requirements for IJMB Registration

The following are the list of credentials requirement for IJMB Programme processing:

  • No entrance examination is required,
  • WAEC, NECO or GCE Result and
  • Six Passport Photographs with red or white background.

Note: There is no entrance examination required for IJMB Programme.


IJMB Fees Required

  • Application (Form) Fee – ₦8,000
  • Acceptance Fee – ₦20,000
  • School (Tuition) Fees – ₦80,000 - ₦100,000
  • Hostel Accommodation Fee – ₦30,000 - ₦100,000
  • Past Questions & Textbooks – ₦15,000
  • Sciences Practical (Laboratory) Fee – ₦5,000 - ₦15,000

After payment for the IJMB form, your application slip (transcript) will be emailed to you which include the following:

  • Your center address,
  • Phone number of your center coordinator,
  • Registration Pin and,
  • Guidelines on getting your acceptance slip.


When you receive your application and acceptance slip (transcript), print them in color from your mailbox. Thereafter, notify your center coordinator and simply proceed to your learning center with the following clearance requirements:

  • Application Slip (transcript),
  • Acceptance Slip,
  • Six (6) copies of Passport Photograph and
  • Photocopy of O’level Result.

Note: If you are yet to collect your O’Level Result, you can indicate "Awaiting Result" during screening (clearance) process.

You will be documented for the program at the study center once you present these credentials and your center coordinator will give you the date of lecture resumption.

Next Step After Successful Registration

After successfully registering for the IJMB programme, registered candidates will be privileged to choose from any three (3) O'level subjects that are related directly to their degree program under:

  • Sciences,
  • Arts, or
  • Social Sciences.

Note: Your examination will be centered on your preferred three subjects chosen, after nine (9) months of intensive lecture.
