Hospital network management system (HIS) is an element of health informatics that focuses mainly on the management of hospital network connectivity, and administrational needs of hospitals. The aim of the study is to design and implement an Hospital Network Management System. In achieving this aim, the following specific objectives were laid out to develop an application software that will automate the daily operations of the hospital such as assigning unique id for every patient when creating his/her record, staff automatically, implement a system that will facilitate efficient handling of hospital billing facility, automate the process of day to-day activities like Room activities; Admission of New Patient, Discharge of Patient, Assign a Doctor, and compute the bill, develop an application that will enable the care providers search and browse patient record without delay, store patient file record in a database that will enable care providers to be able to locate patient files in the health facility, and develop an application that will provide accurate patient’s medical record as provided by the patient. This research work was undertaken to uncover some of the problems with conventional hospital management systems. Where record entry, updating relevant patient information in his/her record, calculation, storage and retrieval of records are still being done manually. Using these conventional moods of operation may pose delay in the administrative system in the institution. The programming language used is HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, SQL and JQUERY. The reason why web programming languages was used is because, it is platform independent and it is a web based application. This project will be of benefit to: Enterprises, Shopping Malls/Supermarkets and many large companies like; waste companies, and Power holding companies. The expected result is an Hospital Network Management System that will manage the network connectivity processes in an hospital application software and the system will generates an accurate bill for payment purpose as well as patients respective information.
