The central aim of any business organization is to make profit and also to own a business of their own. The purpose of this project is to teach goat husbandry to establish and manage a poultry business for easy and local production.

Operator of small scale goat farm is expected to follow keenly the operational methods of marketing strategies and promotional programme for marketing of goat.

Finally, a small scale goat farm is established not only to rear goat but also to maximize profit from farm production.

CHAPTER ONE

Introduction

General Background Of A Small Scale Poultry Business.

Today, thinking about Nigerian and theories instantly brings back to memory the agonizing and pitfall sight of kwashiorkor patients in Biafra during the last Nigeria war.

As a matter of fact, the most of Nigerian families are today under fed and under nourished is no longer a secret. It the food and agricultural organization definition (FAO) of a balance clieft is anything to go, by suffice it to say most Nigerians eat just to survive and not because they want to give their bodies the different requirement protein, vitamin minerals etc needed for a healthy body protein.

This is entirely another kettle of fish to most Nigerians who cannot afford one square meal a day to sustain themselves, you should be more like a lunatic when you are heard discussing fish and meat and be it as it may, the food and agricultural organization had recommended a total of about 35 grams of protein in takes a day person.
