O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Political Science department under Faculty of Social Sciences, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

  • Government or History,


  • at least a pass in Mathematics, and


  • three (3) other subjects.

2. Political Science and Public Administration


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Political Science and Public Administration department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Government or History,


  • any two (2) other relevant subjects and


  • at least a pass in Mathematics



3. Agricultural Economics


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Agricultural Economics department.



4. Economics and Development Studies


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Economics and Development Studies department.



5. Geography and Regional Planning


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Geography and Regional Planning department.



6. Sociology and Anthropology


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Sociology and Anthropology department.
