To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Home Science and Management department under Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • Chemistry, Mathematics and


  • at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language and Physics

  • General Wood Work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Furniture Design and Construction, Upholstery Design and Construction, Spinning,


  • General Metal Work, Spray Painting and Period Furniture, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing and Basic Electricity.


JAMB Subject Combination


  • Use of English,


  • Chemistry,


  • Biology or Agriculture and


  • Mathematics or Physics.


KASU Cut-Off Mark for Home Science and Management

  • Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying / Block laying, Concreting, Wall,


  • Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, and Basic Electricity




2. Mathematics


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mathematics department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics and


  • Physics or Chemistry and


  • any two (2) other relevant subjects.
