Food Technology


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Food Technology department.


  • English Language,


  • Biology / Agricultural Science,


  • Mathematics and


  • any two of the following:


  • Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.


  • At least a pass in Chemistry is required.



Horticultural Technology


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Horticultural Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Chemistry,


  • Mathematics,


  • Biology/Agriculture and

Urban and Regional Planning (URP)

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Computer Engineering department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language.


  • Mathematics,


  • Further Mathematics,


  • Chemistry, and


  • Physics.



Civil Engineering Technology


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Civil Engineering Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • Mathematics,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one other subject from:


  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce.


  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Agricultural Engineering / Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Mathematics,


  • English Language,


  • Physics and


  • any three of the following:


  • Biology / Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics / Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Further Mathematics, Food and Nutrition and Geography.
