Admission Requirements for Applied Physics When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Applied Physics department under Faculty of Science, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Physics,


  • Chemistry, Mathematics and


  • any other Science subject from


  • Further Mathematics and


  • Biology or Agricultural Science.

LASUSTECH Cut-Off Mark for Applied Physics


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Applied Physics cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:


  • Aim for 180+ score.


  • Perform well in Post-UTME screening.

1. Building Technology (BT)


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Building Technology (BT) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Mathematics,


  • English Language,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one of


  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.


  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.



2. Statistics


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Statistics department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics,


  • Chemistry and


  • any other relevant subject.

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Agricultural Engineering / Technology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
