Admission Requirements for Electronics When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Electronics department under Faculty of Engineering / Technology, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Electronics cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Estate Management and Valuation department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics and


  • any two of this subject:


  • Economics, Arts, Physics,


  • Technical Drawing, Chemistry and Biology



2. Mechanical Engineering Technology


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mechanical Engineering Technology department.


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one subject from:


  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce


  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.



3. Mechatronics Engineering Technology


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mechatronics Engineering Technology department.



4. Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
