Admission Requirements for History and Diplomacy When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the History and Diplomacy department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

1. Leisure and Tourism Management


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Leisure and Tourism Management department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Geography,


  • one Basic Science subject and


  • two other subjects from:


  • Economics/Commerce, History, Book Keeping Principles of Accounting, Mathematics, Fine Arts, French Language, Government, Food and Nutrition, Nigerian Language, Home Economics


  • A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.



2. Mass Communication (MC)


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mass Communication (MC) department.


  • English Language, and


  • any four (4) other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.



3. Art and Design


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Art and Design department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
