O’Level Requirements
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Home Science department under Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Biology / Agricultural Science,
Chemistry, Mathematics and
at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language and Physics.

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Chemical Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, Geography and Economics / Commerce.
For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.
2. Mechanical Engineering Technology
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Mechanical Engineering Technology department.
Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce

3. Fisheries Technology
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Fisheries Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

5. Food Technology
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Food Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Biology / Agricultural Science,
any two of the following:
Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language and Home Economics.
At least a pass in Chemistry is required.
6. Mechatronics Engineering Technology
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Mechatronics Engineering Technology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
