Admission Requirements for Information Technology When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Information Technology department under Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

LASUSTECH Cut-Off Mark for Information Technology


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Information Technology cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:


  • Aim for 180+ score.


  • Perform well in Post-UTME screening.

1. Civil Engineering Technology


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Civil Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one other subject from:


  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce.


  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.



2. Horticultural Technology


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Horticultural Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language,


  • Chemistry,


  • Mathematics,


  • Biology/Agriculture and


  • any other relevant subjectes.



3. Computer Engineering


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Computer Engineering department.

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Estate Management and Valuation department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
