Admission Requirements for Library and Information Studies When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Library and Information Studies department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Library and Information Studies cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. 1. Art and Design


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Art and Design department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Fine Art


  • English Language


  • Mathematics


  • Any two (2) subjects from: History / Government, Chemistry / Physical Science, Biology / Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge, Economics / Commerce, Geography, and Home Economics



2. Mass Communication (MC)


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Mass Communication (MC) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language, and


  • any four (4) other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.



3. Leisure and Tourism Management


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Leisure and Tourism Management department.
