To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Civil Engineering Technology department.


  • English Language,

  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one other subject from:


  • Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography and Economics/Commerce.


  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.



2. Science Laboratory Technology (SLT)


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) department.


  • English Language


  • Mathematics


  • Any two (2) subjects from: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Agricultural Science / Health Science


  • Any other two (2) relevant subjects (Technical Drawing, Metal / Wood Work, Basic Electricity, Geography, Further Mathematics, and Fine Art)

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Quantity Surveying (QS) department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
