Admission Requirements for Technical Education When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Technical Education department under Faculty of Education.


  • Mathematics or NTC/NBC,


  • English Language and


  • any three (3) relevant subjects.


JAMB Subject Combination


  • Use of English,


  • Physics,


  • Mathematics and


  • Chemistry.


LASUSTECH Cut-Off Mark for Technical Education


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Technical Education cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:


  • Aim for 180+ score.


  • Perform well in Post-UTME screening.

1. Architectural Technology


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Architectural Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics and


  • any two subjects from:


  • Biology, Fine Art, Chemistry, History, English Language, Geography, Further Mathematics, Economics / Commerce, Religious Knowledge, Technical Drawing and Business Method.


  • At least a pass in Fine Art or Technical Drawing.

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Statistics department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics,


  • Chemistry and


  • any other relevant subject.

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
