Admission Requirements for Vocational Industrial Education When Accredited in Lagos State University of Science and Technology


O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Vocational Industrial Education department under Faculty of Education, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Technical Drawing,


  • Physics and


  • one (1) subject of specialization.


JAMB Subject Combination


  • Mathematics or Physics,


  • Use of English and


  • any two (2) other subjects of specialization.


LASUSTECH Cut-Off Mark for Vocational Industrial Education


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Vocational Industrial Education cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from LASUSTECH Officials. 1. Building Technology (BT)


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Building Technology (BT) department.


  • Mathematics,


  • English Language,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one of


  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.


  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.



2. Statistics


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Statistics department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • English Language,


  • Mathematics,


  • Physics,


  • Chemistry and


  • any other relevant subject.



3. Estate Management and Valuation


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Estate Management and Valuation department.



4. Fisheries Technology


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Fisheries Technology department.

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Agricultural Technology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
