O’Level Requirements
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the English Studies department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
Including three (3) other relevant subjects
JAMB Subject Combination
Any One (1) Arts subject and
Any One (1) Social Science subject

1. Arabic Studies
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Arabic Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
three (3) other relevant subjects.
2. Islamic Studies
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Islamic Studies department.
Islamic Studies or Arabic and
any three (3) relevant subjects.
3. History
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into History department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Any other two (2) relevant Social Sciences or Arts subjects.
4. Hausa
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Hausa department.

5. English Language
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into English Language department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Literature in English, and
any other three (3) Arts/Social Science subjects.
