To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Linguistics and Kanuri department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
any three (3) relevant subjects.

3. History
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the History department.
Any other two (2) relevant Social Sciences or Arts subjects.
4. Hausa
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Hausa department.
and three (3) relevant subjects.
5. Islamic Studies
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Islamic Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
Islamic Studies or Arabic and
