To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Adult and Continuing Education department under Faculty of Education, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Geography / Physics, Economics and Government.

1. Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Fine Arts / Fine and Applied Arts department.
For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be
Machine Printing and Finishing, General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Printing and Ceramics;
General Wood work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing, Printing Origination.
2. Islamic Studies
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Islamic Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
Islamic Studies or Arabic and
any three (3) relevant subjects.
3. Early Childhood Education
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Early Childhood Education department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
any other four (4) relevant subjects
4. French
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the French department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
one other Arts subject, and
