  • For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety & Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Food Science and Technology (FT) department.

  • Biology / Agricultural Science, Physics, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectionaries,

Building Technology (BT)


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Building Technology (BT) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • Mathematics,


  • English Language,


  • Physics, Chemistry and


  • any one of


  • Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing.


  • For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be; Intro. to Building Construction, Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building / Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold / Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.



Science Laboratory Technology (SLT)


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:


  • English Language


  • Mathematics


  • Any two (2) subjects from: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Agricultural Science / Health Science


  • Any other two (2) relevant subjects (Technical Drawing, Metal / Wood Work, Basic Electricity, Geography, Further Mathematics, and Fine Art)

SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Industrial and Production Engineering department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
