O’Level Requirements


To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Home Science department under Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:


  • Biology / Agricultural Science,


  • Chemistry, Mathematics and


  • at least ‘O’ Level pass in English Language and Physics.


  • Any one (1) of


  • General Metal Work, General Wood Work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Furniture Design and Construction, Upholstery Design and Construction,


  • Spray Painting and Period Furniture, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing and Basic Electricity.


JAMB Subject Combination


  • Use of English,


  • Chemistry,


  • Biology / Agriculture and


  • Mathematics or Physics.


UNIBEN Cut-Off Mark for Home Science


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Home Science cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from UNIBEN Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:
