O’Level Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Tourism Studies department under Faculty of Social Sciences, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Mathematics (at least a pass mark is required),


  • English Language,


  • Geography and


  • three (3) other subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.

UI Cut-Off Mark for Tourism Studies


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Tourism Studies cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from UI Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:


  • Aim for 180+ score.

To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Education and Arabic department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:

  • any three (3) other relevant subjects.



3. Adult Education


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Adult Education department.



4. Arabic Language and Literature


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Arabic Language and Literature department.



5. Classical Studies


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Classical Studies department.



6. Linguistics / Yoruba


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Linguistics / Yoruba department.



7. International Relations


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the International Relations department.
