O’Level Requirements
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the English Studies department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

3. History and International Studies
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the History and International Studies department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Government / History, and
any two (2) other relevant subjects.
4. Fine and Applied Arts
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Fine and Applied Arts department.
Mathematics, Fine Arts and
two (2) other relevant subjects.
For NTC the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following:
Graphic Painting, Ceramics, Basic Electricity, Building/Engineering/Environmental/Technology Drawing,
Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Handling, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing.
5. French
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the French department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
one other Arts subject, and
any other two (2) relevant subjects.
6. Special Education
To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Special Education department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:
any other four (4) relevant subjects.
7. English Language
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into English Language department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
Literature in English, and
any other three (3) Arts/Social Science subjects.
