To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Arabic Studies department under Faculty of Arts and Humanities, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

UNILAG Cut-Off Mark for Arabic Studies


The general UTME cut-off mark is 180, but due to the variation of Arabic Studies cut-off mark depending on the admission year and competition level, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from UNILAG Officials. However, to improve your admission chances:

To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the History and Strategic Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:

Linguistics, Igbo and Other African Languages

Christian Religious Studies

To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Christian Religious Studies department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:

  • CRS and


  • three (3) other relevant subjects.



Chinese Studies


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, candidates seeking admission into the Chinese Studies department, must have at least five (5) credits (C5 and more) in their SSCE disciplines, including the following:


  • Programme A Requires: English Language,


  • French and


  • any other three (3) relevant subjects.


  • While,


  • Programme B Requires: English Language and


  • four (4) other relevant subjects.



Creative Arts


SSCE Requirements


To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Creative Arts department.


  • English Language and


  • Fine Arts.


  • For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be


  • General Wood work, Building / Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction, Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall hanging, Colour Mixing / Matching and Glazing,


  • Printing Origination, Machine Printing and Finishing, General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Graphic Design, Graphic Printing and Ceramics.
