O’Level Requirements
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Education and Political Science department under Faculty of Education, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Government / History, and
three (3) other subjects.
JAMB Subject Combination
Government / History, and
two (2) other Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

1. Sociology
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Sociology department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
four (4) other Social Sciences/Arts subject.
2. Economics
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Economics department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
any two (2) of Arts or Social Science subjects.
3. Accountancy / Accounting
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Accountancy / Accounting department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Economics and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of
Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.
4. Sociology and Anthropology
To study this course, candidates aspiring to gain admission into Sociology and Anthropology department, should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in their SSCE subjects including:
three (3) other subjects.
5. Political Science
To study this course, a minimum of five (5) credit passes (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following, are required for applicants to the Political Science department.

three (3) other subjects.
6. Public Administration (PA)
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Public Administration (PA) department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
two (2) other relevant subjects.
7. Business Education
To study this course, the minimum requirement for applicants seeking admission to the Business Education department, is five (5) credits (C5 and higher) in their SSCE subjects, including the following:
Economics, and two (2) other subjects in the Social Sciences or Arts.
For NBC, the other subjects could be from any of the following:
