SLU Course Requirements and Subject Combinations


  • Accounting

    This Accounting course requires students to have SSCE credits in Commerce, Mathematics, English Language, Economics and Government. Accounting was introduced in the early 20th century as businesses and governments needed trained professionals to keep accurate financial records. At SLU, the Accountancy / Accounting programme equips students with practical skills in bookkeeping, auditing, taxation, and financial reporting for careers in the public and private sectors.
  • Arabic Studies

    Candidates applying for Arabic Studies need SSCE credits in Literature in English, Mathematics, Arabic, English Language and Government. The Arabic Studies programme was introduced by SLU to provide students with a broad understanding of the Arabic language, literature, history, and culture.   • Biology
