Travel time and travel time reliability are important performance measures for assessing traffic condition and extent of congestion on a roadway. The aim of the study is to analyze the Travel Time in Owo using Oke Ogun Road as a case study. In achieving this aim, the following specific objectives were laid out to formulate a methodology to obtain travel time data using Bluetooth technology on a freeway segment and collect travel time data,and observe daily and inter-daily variations as well as those due to poor weather conditions and estimate econometric models to predict travel time and variability. The research design used in this report is descriptive design, utilizing questionnaire method to obtain information from the respondents for this project. Primary data were collected from the primary source which questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection while secondary data were sources from textbooks, journals, newspapers and the internet were employed. The data were presented on a frequency distribution table and analyzed using simple percentage, while hypothesis was tested using chi-square test. Investigation revealed the negative drawbacks of the travel time in Owo using Oke Ogun Road as a case study, the problems is related to stress as well as boredom caused by delays and waiting time at the bus stop. Dominance of motor vehicles in land transportation has resulted in a lot of serious environmental and social problems such as traffic congestion, air pollution, noise and climate change. This study will be of immense benefit to other researchers who intend to know more on this study and can also be used by non-researchers to build more on their research work. This study contributes to knowledge and could serve as a guide for other study.

Travel time and travel time reliability are important performance measures for assessing traffic condition and extent of congestion on a roadway. Travel-time reliability is a key performance measure in any transportation system. It is a measure of quality of travel time experienced by transportation system users and reflects the efficiency of the transportation system to serve citizens, businesses and visitors. Travel-time reliability (the variability in travel times on the same route at the same time from one day to the next) is critical to travelers, shippers, receivers and carriers for trip decisions and on-time arrivals at destinations. Thus, understanding travel time reliability is important to travelers in order for them to plan their trips effectively as well as shippers for them to plan and select routes appropriately
