1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Humans have been called social animals because they spend most of their time with other people, whether they are playing or working. While people coexist in varying degrees and must adapt their unique behaviors to blend in, hermits are most content to live and work alone, associate with a small group of carefully chosen companions, and love living in a remote part of the highlands.
Some people prefer to be around other people more. It appears that for these people, "getting together" is necessary for their enjoyment. Researchers who study human organization issues need to be aware of this spectrum of people's attitudes toward social relations.
The tribe or state, and the family. Originally, a tribe is a family unit; however, in contemporary tribes, the state has evolved into something more than a tribe. It is a political entity that may comprise numerous tribes and races that find it advantageous to coexist under a single government for safety concerns.
Human relations are an enduring aspect of organizational life, having existed since the beginning of organizations due to their inherent nature. An employee works eight hours a day, forty to fifty years a year, and approximately three hundred days a year in his place of employment. This is a significant portion of his life, and it is also the time when he is most energetic and active.
