ABSTRACT

Many problems has occurred in most homes due to lack of 3-phase power sensor hereby endangering most of the gadgets in homes. Because the sensor allows you to know when a phase is overloaded or faulty, so it sounds a fault alarm so that you can eventually shut phase down by so doing securing electrical properties and gadgets from damaging. This project will help you understand and take any available precaution in taking care of home electrical/gadgets using 3-phase power protection scheme.

Construction of Magnetic Circuit Coupled 3-Phased Power Protection Scheme

1.0 Introduction

In this project, the core of the system lies in the micro controller which executes a pre-loaded programme downloaded to it.

If the power is “ON” the microcontroller initializes the VDU (Video Display Unit) state to a known state while checking on each phase for contention, its execution proceeds, but if it doesn't proceed, it initializes a self timed reset, at this stage its goes for sampling. Once the red phase has been sampled and stored. It repeats the same action for the yellow and blue phase storing.

If the controller still detects some imbalance in the content it sends out an enabling signal/sound an alarm to show that one phase is overloaded.

The micro controller is the core for the system fault calculation, in that, it is the action of the tripping circuit in the system.

Also, in this 3-phase sensing, there should be equal number of load in balancing which is proper in wiring, if anything happens along the line there will be phase difference, so if such faults should be allowed for a long time there may be excess power drawn, thereby the system shuts down and if allowed for a long time, it blow/spoils the generation or the generator coil, these components are also sourced and acquired ranging from resistors to integrated circuits in order to make sure that no component is missing and also to make sure that there is effective work done on the circuit and the project in general.

This material contains electrical diagrams, circuits, illustrations and more (Very detailed)
