Evaluation of Burantashi Extract's Effects on Liver Enzymes

Burantashi is a true aphrodisiac used as a possible treatment for organic, psychogenic and substance induced erectile impotence and other male sexual dysfunctions. Liver Enzymes are those enzymes that plays important role in the liver both in function and regulation. The study was carried out to investigate the Effects of Burantashi Extract on Liver Enzymes of Albino Male and Female Whistar Rats. In achieving this aim, the following specific objectives were laid out to analyze the phytochemical properties of burantashi extract on liver enzymes of whistar rats and examine the effect of extracts on cholesterol level of whistar rats. Investigation revealed that most of the commercial application of enzymes involved animal and plant sources. At that time, bulk enzymes were generally only used within the food-processing industry, and enzymes from animals and plants were preferred, as they were considered to be free from the problems of toxicity and contamination that were associated with enzymes of microbial origin. Primary data were collected from the primary source which questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection while secondary data were sources from textbooks, journals, newspapers and the internet were employed. Following the discovery and introduction of burantashi research on the mechanism underlying penile erection, had an enormous boost and many preclinical and clinical papers have been published in the last five years on the peripheral regulation of, and the mediators involved in human penile erection. This study will be of immense benefit to other researchers who intend to know more on this study and can also be used by non-researchers to build more on their research work. Based on the findings, it is recommended that men with new onset erectile dysfunction should be evaluated for silent coronary artery disease.
