ABSTRACT

Inverter (1000w) had always been on the highest demand in the society today, especially of human environment. The inverter (1000w) is an assemblage of some electronic components to form a circuit which is electronically combined for conversion of dc current to ac current.

Chapter one is the introduction of the inverter which entails the basic principle of the subject in question.

Chapter two is the literature review which is the section that reviews the previous work that had been done on inverter.

Chapter three dwells basically on the construction of an inverter and the major components used and the principles of operation.

Chapter four being the working principle of the inverter circuit and the advantages.

Chapter five being conclusion and recommendation which carries our objectives discussion of the findings in relation with theoretical frame work

1.0 Introduction

An inverter converts DC (direct current) signal to AC (alternating current) signal. An inverter is a rectangular device that have a trailing board. They might also come in jumper wires or cable for connecting directly to battery.

An inverter always have one or two outlets for connecting standard electrical device. They are useful in areas that have no electricity in the area of application to toasters, blenders and some other electrical appliances uses inverter when necessary.

Inverters produce one of three kinds of waves namely, square waves, modified square sine wave, pure sine wave.

The three different signals represent three qualities of power output and consequently, three different categories.

Square wave inverter is cheapest they flip the voltage from plus to minus creating a square wave form, while the pure sine wave inverter are the most expensive and also delivers the most consistent wave output, some sensitive equipment use sine wave in its pure form and the modified square sine wave is manufactured to lower the power in the harmonies to minimum. Modified square sine wave provides and delivers power that is consistent and efficient enough to run most devices fine.

The differences between the pure sine wave and modified sine are: alternating current (AC) has a continuous varying voltage that swings from positive to negative. This has great advantage in power transmission over long distance. Power is carefully regulated to be a perfect sine wave because this is what naturally comes out of a generator.

Because sine wave radiates the least amount of radio power during distance transmission. A sine wave is expensive to make in an inverter and many sine wave techniques uses heavy inefficient transformers while modified square sine wave is scientifically designed to stimulate a sine wave in the most important respect so that it will work for most appliances.

LITERATURE REVIEW

2.1 Introduction

This chapter focuses on the review of related literature. A literature review presents current knowledge, as well as theoretical and methodological contributions, related to The Construction of 1000W Inverter. It documents the state of the art on the subject under study and provides a comprehensive survey of existing literature. In this research work the literature review includes the conceputal review, theoretical framework, the review of related literature …
