FUAM Animal Science Admission Requirement comprises the O'Level, JAMB, Post UTME, and Direct Entry requirement;
O’Level Requirement
According to Our research, tertiary institution aspirants should at least obtain five (5) credit (C5 and above) passes in SSCE subjects including;
English Language,
Chemistry,
Mathematics,
Biology / Agric Science, and
any one from Physics, Geography or Economics.

Post UTME Requirement
Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM) cut off mark for Animal Science must be obtained. The general UTME cut-off mark is 180 (For Medical Students, 220 and above is recommended), but due to the variation of the departmental cut-off mark, we suggest you enquire about the recent JAMB UTME cut-off mark from FUAM Officials.
Animal Science Procedure for Calculating Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
University C.G.P.A. Calculation Steps:
Get the Grade Point (GP) of your of each semester sessions.
Grade Variables and Equivalent Values- A = 4.0
- AB = 3.5
- B = 3.0
- BC = 2.5
- C = 2.0
Course Grade Calculation = Grade Variable Earned (From A - C) x Credit Unit (CU)
Repeat the Course Grade Calculation process for other courses
Semester GP Calculation = Total Course Grade divided by Total Credit Unit (CU) = Semester Grade PointAdd each semester Grade Point (GP) and divide by the total semester. For example;
400 Level First Semester - 3.00
400 Level Second Semester - 3.40
C.G.P.A = 3.00 + 3.40 = 6.40
C.G.P.A = 6.40 / 2 Semesters
C.G.P.A.= 3.2
