Add the peanuts and your preferred seasonings to a large pot

Place the pre-soaked peanuts and some water into a large stockpot. Make sure there is at least 2 inches (5.1 cm) of water above the peanuts, and stir the peanuts as necessary to ensure that they are fully submerged in the water. Place the pot on your stove and add any desired seasonings.
Adding salt is a great, basic seasoning that will add flavor. You can add around 1 cup (240 ml) of table salt for every 1 gallon (3.8 l) of water.
